Archival grade artist's sketchbook in A5 landscape format.
The paper block is comprised of 46-page, 220 gsm, 60% cotton-content, Rosapina paper from the legendary Italian paper mill FABRIANO. The paper is suitable for sketching and drawing with pencil, pastel, coloured-pencil, ink, marker, painting with gouache, acrylic and watercolours, printmaking ( etching, lithography and silk-screening ) and collage-making. Each signature of the paper stock is meticulously hand-stitched and bound to perfect alignment.
The cover is made with 4-oz natural, full-grain vegetable-tanned buffalo leather, prized for its bold and unique character and grain pattern, and will acquire a beautiful natural satin lustre over time. Leather protects the paper stock for decades while the value of the journal increases when design and artistic contents are included.
Ancona is the Italian province where the legendary Fabriano Paper Mill is situated. The Fabriano mill is arguably the oldest paper mill in Europe with nearly 750 years of continuous innovative and production history whose papers were used and endorsed by masters such as Michelangelo, DaVinci and Raphael.
